Tough Times. When Ayla was born, her parents thought she was a normal, healthy baby. At 3 weeks, when she struggled to breath, they realized something was seriously wrong. Ayla was diagnosed with atrioventricular canal defect, a serious but treatable heart condition.

Murray and Margaret McCollum wanted a combination pool house and workshop area for their backyard. The poolhouse is especially for when their grandkids visit from Georgia. The McCollums are very happy with their building. “I think it’s going to turn out really nicely,” says Margaret.
The interior still needs to be completed. To the left as you walk in the front door will be Margaret’s workshop space and to the right will be the changing area and RV style restroom. The middle area will be for the kitchen. The interior will be finished with reclaimed pallet lumber, painted with multiple “washed” colors.
Margaret plans to make signs, gameboards, and things that utilize her router in the workshop. The workshop will also double as a potting shed, with a generous amount of natural light. Murray was planning to keep his tools in the building as well, but they decided the 14×40 building would become too crowded. Murray is considering a second Ulrich building for his tools.
The McCollums were impressed with the crew that came to build their building. “They were really good,” says Margaret. The McCollums have been recommending Ulrich to their friends.
Congratulations Margaret and Murray on your beautiful building. Have fun with the grandkids!
