HVAC Installer


We are looking for a hard-working, high energy level and dedicated HVAC Technician to join our growing staff. This creative thinker’s role will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and fixing our customers’ heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. Candidates should have an extensive experience in handling, installing, and fixing HVAC equipment, and be comfortable working with little to no supervision. Must be able to travel and perform consultations with customer’s as needed and discuss solution methods; Must be available for overtime work when necessary and half a day on Saturdays, if needed. Install new heating, cooling, and ventilation systems and be able to inspect current HVAC systems to increase longevity; Conduct performance tests with specialized tools; Troubleshoot current HVAC system issues and repair damaged HVAC systems; Keep Records of customer appointments and payment transactions including invoices; Maintain accurate Inventory of all equipment and HVAC resources.

Bilingual in Spanish a plus
Ability to assist in general building maintenance and operations as needed.

Abilities to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, blueprints, schematics, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write repairs, business correspondence.
Abilities to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percent; ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must be in good physical condition; must be able to lift 50 pounds. Frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, and stoops, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to work in cramped or elevated areas of the building.
Ability to understand safety procedures; must exactly follow safety regulations, which includes lock-out/tag-out procedure. Hazard communication program and OSHA requirements.
Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts.

3-5 years apprenticeship under a journeyperson preferred
Certification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle refrigerants required Certification or Associates Degree from an HVAC program at a technical school preferred.
Must hold state HVAC technician license Previous on the job training a plus
Strong verbal communication skills, ability to explain complex HVAC issues with customers in a way they understand Critical-thinker, problem-solver
Must be punctual and adhere to a daily schedule with multiple appointments in different locations.
Texas State Driver’s License required.

High School Diploma or equivalent
College or trade school education preferred.
HVAC certification a plus

Work Conditions:

Warehouse is a non-climate-controlled environment
Outdoor weather conditions when service is required
